Imagine if the sequel trilogy’s money was instead thrown at the SG writers and crew.

I don’t know, Stargate died even harder than Star Wars ever did.

I dare to disagree. Stargate Universe was not particularly well received, yes, but the second season is where it hit its stride, especially the second half. It got cancelled just after it got good.

I love Stargate Universe. I would love if they revived it, and with the final cliffhanger they can easily explain away aging cast members or significant cast changes. Throw in some new personnel coming via whatever shoehorned reason and carry on.

Add “lighting done so we actually see what the fucks going on”. Sick of these dark, foggy, desaturated scene to hide the set budget was 12 cents.

Keep in mind Star Wars isn’t sci-fi. It’s a fantasy space opera.

It’s not supposed to be practical.

It was a cheap drama wrapped in a military sci Fi, which is such a strange mix.

Sometimes it worked really well. But honestly I found myself wanting all the military sci Fi and often getting blue balls

“Listen up we now have an ENTIRE FUCKING SPACE SHIP, that’s right, built on earth, for humanity, warp fucking drive, GUNS”

“OH and it’s going to get pummeled on every single encounter.” The actual first voyage is the Prometheus getting taken out by like… Missiles from a modern civilization

I’m going to go with yes. Since unlike Star Wars, Stargate has multiple enemies and is closer to Star Trek with its episodic nature. Although some(ok, most) of the enemies are based on ancient fantasy characters, I would say that what actually makes them different is simply technology as opposed to any legitimate magic powers(the force). I think that easily takes it from fantasy into Science Fiction. Perhaps this argument loses support when it comes to the ORI. But what about the wraith, the goauld, the ancients, the Jaffa, the tokra, the nox, the replicators, and the Asgard?

Of all the Star Wars shows to visit a post-apocalyptic world with child soldiers, I certainly didn’t expect it to happen in the fun 80s kids adventure. :-) Seems like more of an Andor thing.

Yep, surprisingly great show. Reminds me of Clone Wars. Kid friendly but also still quality TV.

Speaking of, when are we getting more Andor… maybe with some sweet crossover action with Din Djarin, they can call it The Andorlorian!

…that was a joke, please stop looking at me like that
