There is nuance. No one is saying you can’t be sad for Ukranian children, we all are too and what’s happening there is horrendous as well.
The difference is that the IDF is specifcally going after kids. Not “whoops, collateral damage war is hell haha” but “hey, wanna kill some kids today?”

Russia definitely kills children but the percentage of children killed by Russia vs Israel is wildly different.
More Ukranian men have died than the total amount of Palestinians. But those are soldiers.
Far more more Palestinian women and children have been killed than the total amount of Ukrainian women and children.

War and massacre are different. Ukraine is fighting the war, while gaza is a slaughterhouse.
Ukraine is defending themselves from an invasion it’s not a war.

Yes it is horrible and whatever atrocities that Russia is committing in Ukraine is a small subset of what is being committed by Israel.
If Russia had more control over the region or if Putin had as much lobbying power as the state of Israel, I am sure he would not shy of genocide as well. But that does not change the facts.
