We’re going to get right into things and start watching the original Dragon Ball. Whether this is your first time, or you have seen it ten times, feel free to come discuss the episodes we are watching for the week.

Discussion threads will contain spoilers. Tags are not necessary. Anything about the episodes is fair game. The story, the art, the music, what ever you would like to talk about.

I don’t think there is enough of a difference between the sub and dub to matter, so unless it becomes a problem, feel free to watch the version of your choosing. You are free to discuss the differences and your preferences, but this is not a place for arguing or attacking people for watching how they want to watch.

I am currently looking into having a bot create the threads every week, I just have to see if it will work the way I would like it to. Is there a preference as to what day the discussion thread is posted? At first I was thinking Friday like we had Daima, but Sunday would give us one full week and allow people the weekend to watch.

We will be starting with the first two episodes of Dragon Ball. I will try to have the actual episode discussion thread up as soon as possible. If I haven’t sorted the bot situation out in a timely manner, I will go ahead and create it.

    I just discovered this community and it’s a great idea. I watched DB 40 years ago on French TV and always wanted to see it again subbed because it’s the best anime ever and Toriyama managed to create a whole fun world.

    Your idea is good except for one thing: 2 episodes per week feels a bit slow. There are ~150 episodes. If you did 3 per week, it would last for 50 weeks (one year) and would only take an hour per week (well, 75 minutes). So, I’d rather watch 3 episodes per week, but you choose whatever you want.

      Thanks for your input. It isn’t choose what I want, I will choose what you guys want. I had already tossed around the idea of three episodes. I think it would be fine personally. We will try that until I have gathered more feedback
