Yeah well I think I don’t have any real viewpoints which is also a viewpoint I guess. I just adopt things based on a whim or need. One day a commie, another ancap. Do these words mean anything anymore

I guess all that counts at the end of the day is how well off you are and clear conscience and the paths to achieve that are myriad

There is nothing honest I can say about Luigi because fundamentally I don’t care. Some American drama, another one in the long streak of news. There is no hate, there is no love. The only constant is indifference

Let’s talk about something interesting for once like color theory or classical paintings.

if ideologies feel like temporary costumes, maybe the real focus is the pragmatic pursuit of well-being and a clear conscience. The modern news cycle thrives on manufactured stakes, and indifference might just be the sanest response.

Don’t you all not feel burnt out from the constant outrage?

I don’t have any hard set-in-stone viewpoints either, to be fair. I feel like I have a set of core beliefs values, but otherwise I’m fairly impressioniable and feel differently depending on the specific topic. I never understood people who just label themselves by a specific ideology and then just base everything off of that.

I gotta say I feel a great deal of sympathy with what Luigi stands for though. Murder may be despicable, but if the common people don’t stand up against the unfair system no one will - and I certainly feel no sympathy for the victim. Especially in this Trumpian era of tech-fascists trying to turn all of humanity into slaves.

However, I do agree with your take. The news are designed for shock value and quick consumption. It’s not a meaningful pursuit - and I’ve personally spent too much energy on Trump… although it’s hard not to since I’m Danish and he wants to invade us…

Don’t you understand this is the precise mindset that is powerless to resist fascism and in fact sets the table for it?

But it’s really hard to sympathise with anyone here. Someone killed somebody, somebody other killed someone other maybe, maybe not, depending on your beliefs and political stance.

People kill each other each day for myriad of reasons why is this particular case any more interesting?

Everyone has some kind of manifesto and stuff they really want someone to read. They think it is very important I am sure.

In the end it is just murderers doing the killing things not really that interesting unless you are into true crime in which case I prefer mysterious disappearances

The wealthy class in the US are heavily invested in military stocks. War benefits them, even if it’s civil war. This is probably intentional.

I expect more assassins targeting people who are not so high up on the facist totem pole. There was nothing special about Bryan Thompson, there are hundreds like him out in there. But he was high up enough for his death to matter. Honestly, he was like some dumb animal that got zapped climbing into a transformer.

The only way the current president can hang on for more than four years is to incite insurrection and then activate the insurrection act. All these ‘take it to the streets’ people might as well be shouting jump at a guy being pushed off a building.

I am pointing out that invoking the insurrection act is the next step toward an outright American dictatorship, just like https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reichstag_Fire_Decree

I assume a full blown dictatorship is going to be harder to fight, which is based on history. Your useless pithy little platitude is encouraging the next step. “You’ll never know if you can fly until you JUMP! Just JUMP!” go to hell.

Looking over your posting history it looks like you just want to shoot someone and are vapidly seeking an excuse to go run riot. Anarchy via armed idiots is very Jan 6 energy and will get you nowhere.

Luigi tactics are effective and that scares the pee pee out of the people running this shit-show. Running around in the streets shooting at random plays directly into their intentions.

Here let me pop out your next one-liner for you to save you some time; “I fully intend to throw the rabbit DIRECTLY into the Briar patch and if you disagree you’re a boot-sucking Nancy boy”

That always seems like such a small price to pay for bloody minded sociopaths.

How about a new rule… You don’t get to call them young children if you think that they are old enough to work long hours at a hazardous job without breaks, or that they are old enough (by 2 or more years!) to be married to a 60+ year old pervert. You lose all moral standing to call them “young children” if you do.

That’s true in state crimes, but federal prosecutions are actually very different.

Federal prosecutors have a lot more room to argue and in general the court tends to favor the prosecution much more.

The judge is responsible for sentencing (and Trump appointed a lot, guarantee he gets a Trump judge), while discovery is much more restrictive against the defendant.

I can say from experience that in at least some corners of social media, (LW for example) the removal of “Luigi content” is strictly because a large amount of it is advocations of violence/murder/assasinaion.

On many social media platforms, that type of content is against ToS because of the laws in the country that hosts the platform that the site is located in.

It has little to do with personal opinion and everything to do with staying within the legal threshold of the region to avoid being shut down.
