Watching this at night was a mistake, that Sauced Katsudon looked really tasty, now I’m craving it
I’m really tempted to use this as the post screenshot (and maybe also for future episodes if the format is a weekly food focus)The art style is really nice, loving the water painting look for the background art. The characters also really expressive, especially ~~oshinko-~~Shinon-chan attempts at “bribing” the admin. Shinon-chan repeating her welcome with a louder voice and raising two hands because the first one got no response is really funny.
This is definitely a low tension CGDCT, although they hint at some development for Makocchi. She tried to be more open to new things, and hoping the club will help on that if not for Shinon-chan quickly shooting down the idea since it was all just a farce.

This seems like a perfectly good CGDCT anime, but I’m not really seeing any substance beyond that. I found Shinon’s antics to be much more annoying than endearing, and while Mako’s social anxiety was likely meant to be relatable and cathartic, but it just stressed me out. For those who like CGDCT, I’m sure this will be a good time, but I don’t think it’ll do much for people outside that audience. I give the premiere a 3/5.
