Oh shut up, this is not true, the middle class doesn’t fucking exist in the first place and this splintering at every single point is why fascism roots have grown so deep
GFY.
I voted against this insanity. I’ve marched in protest.
I’m actually concerned that myself and many people I know may end up in “camps”/El Salvador prison just for voting Democratic.
People are in the middle class?
Seems like every day the posts on Lemmy start blaming people who can do nothing to fix this and did their best to stop it but were overwhelmed by an international club of authoritarians. And now we few who are not targeted are being blamed for being ourselves.
Give us a path that we can take to change shit. Fucking Christ, I can only plan so many minor friction points in my fields of expertise to slow down the march. Now I’m being blamed for cooperating.
Fucking hell. This is why the movement doesn’t grow or counter anything - the aggressive blaming of people who are trying to do the right thing.
ok
White moderates supporting negative peace continue to be the most conservative force in society
Its not even true, theyre just too dumb/blinded/whatever to see that it is negatively impacting them.
This behavior is so incredibly annoying. For example, supporting the exploitation of the global south and installing fascist dictators in power because it benefits them, and doesn’t negatively affect them.
Anti-fascist/anti-imperialist only when they’re the victim, lol.
The almost non-existent middle class is primarily comprised of high paid individual contributors. The people exploiting the global south are the upper class.
Fair point. Didn’t mean to sound ignorant or apathetic, sorry.
No worries. I didn’t read it that way. There’s just a lot of bourgeoisie hate, when it’s the aristocrats that are the problem. Had we a sizable middle class they could be a concern, but it’s the ignorant half of the proletariat begging for their own demise that voted in fascism.
