Yay, so even after years on hrt when I’ll clearly be at a physical disadvantage I still won’t get legal protections (which were designed for exactly this) until I maybe eventually get a doctor to confirm what I already know? Great, lovely, thanks. Looks like I’m gonna have to start hoarding estrogen I guess cause I’m certain this is just the start. Really makes the swastika sticker I passed by on a walk yesterday that much more scary knowing there are people near me who would absolutely hurt me if they could, and now they’ve basically been given the go-ahead.

First thing that comes to mind is prisons, most men wouldn’t mind to go to a women’s prison even at the price of being misgendered as they are famously much much nicer than men’s. Also the law offers lots of advantages and help to women that they don’t to men like lighter penal sentences, scholarships, shelter homes for victims of domestic violence…
These cunts are basically the convergence of transphobia and misandry, for some of them trans men are alienated women that just want to escape sexism against women and trans women are men that want to usurp their womanhood (whatever the fuck that even means). It’s not a UK/US thing, it’s a whole world thing. Including most (all?) of Europe. There exist co-ed prisons but they aren’t the norm by any means in any country that I know of.

Transphobes think all trans people are scary rapist men looking for a way past the impenetrable magic barrier that only lets women into women’s toilets, and that there’s no reason anyone would want to go into the men’s toilets, so trans men are fictional and don’t need or want any rights, just like the law doesn’t give rights to elves and hobgoblins.

Not surprising. I wonder how far reaching this ruling will be. This just emboldens the bigots, but maybe that was the point.
Examples given in the media have been access to domestic violence help, changing rooms, support for rape victims, and clubs for gold-star lesbian arseholes who nobody in their right mind would want to be near anyway.
I see the UK not wanting to buy our products, but are fine with adopting our worse ideologies.

Unfortunately, the UK does not need to import transphobia from anywhere. The UK’s TERFs pioneered modern transphobia in many cases and they have been at it for a loooooong time. In many cases, it was the UK’s TERFs who came up with a ton of the now common transphobic arguments which the US and other places adopted from them, rather than the other way around.
Mind, they are 110% fascists and they love to sit down with the US’ Heritage Foundation and other fascist US orgs in order to coordinate with them.

I feel so sorry for young queers in the UK having to grow up with these sorts of attitudes, when I was at school it was Section 28 and I genuinely thought we’d got past that, but the fascist bigots never sleep!
Not only that, they are basing the ruling on the concept that the protected category of sex is based on reproductive organs and/or chromosomes. Where does this ruling leave intersex people at then?
As always, it’s about cis people seeing binary in everything and erasing the existence of people through these stupid and malicious rulings.
They knew where the complaint was coming from, they knew the implications it would have, and they decided to rule in their favor anyways.
Oh yeah I fully agree, it throws multiple peoples under the bus. The thing is, trying to argue about biology with them is almost pointless because the proponents of this anti-trans rhetoric don’t actually care about what they call “biological facts”. The fact that they’re based a legal ruling on a widely accepted false premise shows this.
They just want to punch down and punish the people whose mere existence challenges their preconceptions.

Did you know some european countries pay you for education? And you can get a student visa? And with that also get free healthcare? And that the education takes long enough for you to apply for citizenship? And that that education can get you a nice job? And that the taxes from that job then make up for the cost of educating and housing you?

I don’t know why, but norway and sweden have been worsening their culture. Moving back to not accepting people who are different and normalizing jokea about hating women and such.
I’ve not been following in detail, but every time I look at there culture I find that stuff throughout.

Even better, if you’re over 21 you can take an acceptance test and skip (most) uni entrance requirements if you pass it.
