Showrunner Ira Parker sets up where we are in Game of Thrones history with A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms.
Parker explains why the spinoff doesn’t have an opening titles sequence and how that decision “serves our show.”
“We’re not with the lords and ladies, the kings and queens,” he says of the six-episode tale.
…Show, don’t tell.
“We’re not with the lords and ladies, the kings and queens,” he says of the six-episode tale.
I know what they mean but that’s an awkward “key point” because by the second episode (I’m guessing) we will absolutely be surrounded by lords, ladies, kings & queens.
But they mean they’re not the main focus. Dunk & Egg and the main focus. The first story takes place at a tournament and there are plenty of fancy people around.
This is gonna be disaster. 6 episodes based on that little novella? Three would be stretching it. There are only three little novellas, cause lord know he ain’t gonna finish the story, they should have just made one 9 or 10 episode season and made it great. Instead it’s gonna be filler slop.
I will certainly check this out. I can’t say I am all that excited about it though. House of Dragon is a total dud.
