I didn’t say they America was the ONLY place that’s inundated with propaganda, but none of them are any worse than America. The Conservative Propaganda Machine has been getting the minority elected for DECADES. Without it, no MAGA would ever get elected.
In 1974, Congress re-wrote the tax code, and baked in Trickle Down Economics, and the permanent financial landscape improved greatly for the wealthy. The rest of us were dealing with high inflation (Remember Ford’s WIN buttons - Whip Inflation Now?), gas lines caused by the OPEC oil embargo, interest rates over 20%, etc., and didn’t recognize what was happening.
So when Reagan came along and pushed Trickle Down Economics, it was already in place, and ramping up, he was just introducing it, and selling it to the American people, and it became standard dogma for a long time.
The result has been a decades long re-distribution of wealth to the upper incomes, at the direct detriment of the working and middle-class.
That’s why it appears to start before Reagan - because it did.

True Faith and True Grift have always been one big fat toothpick. There has never been a time when they weren’t tightly intertwined.
It’s an entire administration whose entire political education comes from the Conservative Propaganda Machine, and popular culture. Being profoundly ignorant, they don’t know their own nation’s history, and they don’t take their inspiration from the great people of history, they get their inspiration from Hollywood action movies, and not even good ones. So they are obsessed with being the "hottest, the “richest,” the most popular, etc.
And because they are irredeemably Sociopathic, they think it’s perfectly normal to think that way. That’s why they’ve fought so hard to take over America. They see most moral, decent Americans, trying to live moral, decent lives, and don’t understand them at all. If we aren’t fully on board with whatever chaotic agenda is in their profoundly broken psyches, then we must be the ones with the problem, and we need to be dominated, forced to submit, or eliminated.
So this guy thinks he was being a badass with his poor reading of a Samuel L Jackson monologue, like a high school drama student auditioning for the school musical, and he just came off as pathetically cringe.
I honestly believe that at the upper levels of the church, they see the systemic molestation, which has been literally been passed from generation to generation for CENTURIES, as one of their most effective recruiting tools.
Molest enough young boys, and at least a few are going to enjoy it, and decide to stay in the system that brings them pleasure. Maybe they even convince themselves that it’s about their piety. Then they grow up to molest more young boys, and some of them join.
After a few centuries, it becomes apparent that something like 20-25% were molestation victims, but they also joined the church. It’s not the ideal situation, but it’s hard to argue with a recruitment that has proven to be such a success. Not every young man is going to appreciate the joys of a future lifetime of celibacy, it’s good to have an alternative attraction.
No wonder it pisses off Trump so much. Carry on!
I’m a lifelong disbeliever (I remember thinking how religion didn’t make sense as early as 4 years old, when I quizzed my Dad on where God was, and why didn’t the Gemini astronauts visit him when they were in Space), and I was never Catholic in any case, but this is the first Pope I’ve seen that was actually willing to stand up to the psychopaths. I’m never getting on board with his whole church scam, but I support anything that drives a wedge between MAGA and their most delusional supporters.
This is one way I know that religion is bullshit, because if there really was a God, these guys would all end up a smoking hole at the podium.
That’s changing. They just had a vote on aid to Israel, and most Dems opposed it for the first time. Not Schmuck Schumer, of course. Israel is his main priority, not American citizens, and certainly not his NY State constituents.
Schmuckie-boy aside, the Dems are starting to listen. Last Fall, they abandoned their shutdown when it hit the airports, and their political donors started screaming. Dem constituents went ape shit, and it scared the crap out of the politicians. This year, when the shutdown hit the airports, they stepped back and let chaos reign. That was a direct result of listening to voter outrage after last fall.
The Dems are starting to run scared of the citizens, but the MAGAs are still too stupid to figure it out. They’ll keep doubling down on their virtuosic incompetence and arrogance to their doom. They’re the type who will keep yelling defiantly as the noose is placed over their neck and the lever is pulled, with their last words ending in mid-sentence.
Let’s oblige them.
Yeah, but NOBODY bought it with Bush. Trump actually has the religious freaks believing it. What a bunch of weirdos, actually volunteering to be exploited losers. Pathetically cringe.
If we tell them that we expect them to do nothing as usual, that’s exactly what they’ll do. If you indicate that we’ll accept their political malpractice AGAIN, that’s what they’ll do, AGAIN. They are politicians they are inherently lazy and stupid, and they will always take the path of least resistance, so let’s not make cowardice easy for them.
We are in unprecedented times, and it will require unprecedented solutions. We can’t fall back on the predictable patterns that got us here. Any politicians who attempt to use their cowardly strategies that have already proven to be failures over and over need to be removed immediately.
We cannot, and will not accept that under any circumstances. Any Democrat who attempts to defend or support MAGA traitors when this over will be considered a collaborator and a traitor themselves, and tossed into the pile of indictments, too.
If you aren’t ferociously anti-MAGA, then you’re MAGA.

I think the general idea of the Statute of Limitations was that if you got away with it long enough, it was presumably because you had changed your wicked ways, and stayed out of trouble, and had earned a second chance.
Okay, maybe that’s true for the guy who robbed a bank to pay his mortgage and keep his house 15 years ago, but rape? And CHILD rape?
I don’t care how much you’ve changed, and come to regret your actions, you need to go to jail, I don’t care if you are 100 years old. Every rapist needs to live their life knowing that their ugly secret could catch up to him at any moment.

You can’t accept an immoral job, and then just dismiss the immorality by saying “I was only doing my job.”
I always take every person as an individual, and never judge them on their race or any other demographic group they may be part of (except MAGAs, they are automatically awful), but as a population, Israelis do not have much of a defense:
So 47% simply want extermination, and 82% support chasing them out, which would amount to same thing for many of them. And 76% claim they are all guilty of something, rationalizing anything bad that might happen to them.
Sorry, obviously there are some good Israelis who see the inhumanity of their nation’s behavior, but as whole, they overwhelming support their nation’s atrocities, and nearly half would go much, much further if they could.
Who would have thought that their takeaway from the Holocaust would be to “pay it forward?”
