It is but I can imagine the stink that will be raised when stuff rings up differently than it is priced, especially if it’s mildly expensive stuff that turns out to be 50-100$ more at checkout than on the shelf.

From what I understand packet radio stuff has been in use since the late 70s / early 80s.
It does? I’ve never seen that. Been using it forever and never thought to look at skin options

Back then most of the synths came from Japan, if not whole product than the chips and other internals.

Same, I sunk so much time in that game and the music was a huge part of it. It’s great to hear the original synth tracks.

Who can afford cinderblocks and plywood these days?

It can make some noise when I want it to. Speakers have lights in them which is nice but, that wasn’t a consideration when buying.

It’s a Crite from the Critters movies.

No, it’s what happens when you have dyslexia and can’t tell N from ᴎ

I do have some wall mounts for the speakers that I’ll be putting up soon, I just got everything moved off of the bookshelf it was on before.

Sounds like exactly what it does. And you’re treating it right, if they don’t answer it sends what you said to voicemail.

I’ve been using call screening in iOS and it’s stopped pretty much all unwanted calls. Automated systems do not know how to handle it yet and they waste their time because the call is “answered” and sent to whatever agent they use.

Because of the nazis

The biggest loophole they use is taking out loans and using stock as collateral. Stock is supposed to be unrealized so if it is used as part of ANY transaction it should instantly become taxable.

Yeah, this data is going to be used to train AI to be less obvious

Thank you, I was working from memory, should have said so in the post.

Brilliant

Georgia public transport is shaped by racism and class politics. When Atlanta first started building MARTA, Cobb county didn’t want it so they established a 300 foot wide township that ran along the border of Cobb and Fulton counties. The only law this township had was that no public transit could be constructed in it. The township effectively blocked MARTA from reaching into Cobb county.
Why did this happen? Because when civil liberties came to be Atlanta experienced a “white flight” where white people moved in large numbers out of the city. Most of the white flight landed in Cobb county and wanted to keep black people out.
That’s one of the major hurdles that mass transport has had in Atlanta, there are plenty of others.
It causes a problem for stores that use technology to squeeze more out of customers. It remains that these tags are closely tied to predatory pricing practices and it causes more than just a headache for the cashier, it causes a trust issue between customers and predatory businesses. The goal is to make these predatory practices damaging to the business. the cashier will be fine, they already deal with people being complete garbage for less, at least this gives them an excuse to bring in the manager and send the problem uphill.
