  • I’ve seen a lot of criticism and defense of this stance already. People are saying the franchise is going to go downhill as it becomes rushed, and on the other side, people are pointing out that Capcom has said the same thing about Resident Evil which keeps turning out bangers.

I think it’s important to note that Capcom actually hasn’t really acheived the annual release schedule, even if it is releasing games really quickly (and sometimes one right after another). There was a three year break between RE4R and Requim. There’s also been some games that aren’t really held in as high regard as others: RE3R was criticized a lot for cut content, Village didn’t really get the same praise as the remakes or RE7.

Most of the evidence that we have shows that this kind of development schedule isn’t sustainable, even with multiple dev teams working at the same time. Also, there are reasons to worry besides just the game quality, like, how workers are being treated to achieve such tight deadlines.

I haven’t hard really anyone commenting on the direction to continue taking Silent Hill out of Silent Hill (the town). So far, feedback about Silent Hill F seems mixed (I haven’t had a chance to play it myself yet) and Townfall is looking to be controversial as well.

  • What good has posting here done? You can do yoga at the hospital, or literally anywhere, but you require a supportive environment and access to assistive services in your current state. If you don’t chose to go, you will eventually be taken there, because the way you are living and dealing with your injury is not sustainable, so you might as well choose your own time to go to the ER.

  • Go to the ER. You need to be evaluated. They can do so in a way that’s in line with religious practices. You absolutely need to go now. You are right that your life might depend on it. Tell them about your injury and your other experiences that are complicating your situation that you’ve already shared on the fediverse, such as problems with the local police assisting abusive family members in addition to your problems with your significant other. The staff there can help you and keep you safe while you rest and heal.

  • I think that’s super valid for a novel especially, as long as you don’t mind that the movie adaptation decides it’s not worth taking 10 minutes out of the runtime to explain vs something people will immediately understand

Or maybe there is nothing else interesting in the novel, and it won’t matter anyway because no one reads or adapts it
