World News@lemmy.ml•Exclusive: ICC shuns US demands to drop Israel war crimes probe and amend treaty
5·4 hours agoIsreal is America’s knife in the flesh of the middle east: it keeps the blood money flowing and helps prevent the formation of a stable anti-imperialist government that could threaten their supply of combat data, cheap resources and cheap labor. Like how a leech has anticoagulant in it’s saliva: Israel’s job is to keep the region in a state of highly profitable volatility.
Someone broke it down for me like this, and I haven’t forgotten since:
Bour: because they’re boring
Geo: because they want to control the earth
Isie: because life would be so much more isie without them
Man i remember when I was a “damn, the US and it’s enemies are both evil” guy. I thought i was done thinking about the world
We occupied their country, we did to them what Iarael is doing to Palestine, we levelled every single building from the sky and killed 10 to 20% of the population, we bombed their dams to flood their crops and cause famine, we slaughtered and erased entire towns, we deployed germ warfare that we learned from unit 731, then we tried to cut them off from the world and spent 70 years spinning the most insane bullshit tales about them we possibly could to rationalize our colonial savagery. Now the propaganda is so deep that most westerners simply hate them because of a vague fog of ludicrous, contradictory stories and a fuzzy sense that hating them is what you’re supposed to do. The truth is, they’re just another country the empire tried to annihilate that refused to lay down and die. Instead, they rebuilt their whole goddamn country from scratch with few allies and the weight of the imperial world on their neck. We support the fuck out of the Korean People’s Revolution, and can’t wait for the people of Occupied Southern Korea, which has one of the highest suicide rates on Earth, to be liberated and reunited with their northern brothers. You may as well say “fuck anyone who supports Palestine.”
You would call Castro Batista-esque, and Machado socialist. Words don’t mean shit to you and that’s why you can’t accomplish anything
Correct
Troll, bot, russian, terrorist
Liberal ideology is very good at coming up with thought-terminating epithets that allow the user to avoid thinking about what other people have to say. After all, a religious devotion to avoiding non-sanctioned narratives is the only way it can protect itself. It sure as hell can’t compete in the “marketplace of ideas”.
You’re citing biased imperial sources. An unbiased source is a myth, because everyone has some kind of agenda. Show me someone who needs to eat food to survive and I’ll show you someone with a bias. What matters is understanding the biases and motives of each player to put together a full picture, like a detective cross-referencing statements. Of course I’m going to believe sources that have been truthful in service of a humanitarian agenda over sources that have been Iying nonstop in service of rich pedophiles for as long as I’ve been alive.
Socialists who fight fascists are the real fascists. Only people who call themselves socialists while repeating war department propaganda as the US blows up fishermen every day are the real socialists.
Get a grip lmao
Of course, the US imperial media that lied to me 386231757 times would never lie to me a 386231758th time! Especially not when oil is involved!🤡
You’re both very wrong and very strange

Such hollow, opportunistic rehtoric from people and governments who are doing the exact same things they accuse others of. Germany in particular, with it’s to-the-hilt support of Israel’s genocide, does not seem to have learned it’s lesson.

Europe@lemmy.ml•Here’s what Putin really said about being ‘ready for war with Europe’
2·20 hours agoI don’t really think the two are that comparable, since in one case they were waging a counterinsurgency against a guerilla movement that had the support of much of the people, and in this case they’re waging a conventional war to extract concessions from a government. But I guess time will tell

You can observe the discarding of a US proxy progress like an infection by watching stories about Ukranian government corruption slowly make their way up the bloodstream of public “opinion”, from small papers up to the new york crimes.
