Good to have you!

Yeah, why wouldn’t I just call or text the restaurant I want to order from, instead of coding my own app 😂. What a weird example.
Thanks for the source, interesting read. Makes me question sanction more. Haha, well here on Lemmy you can have a conversation when asking clarification, so thank you as well :)
Where do you base the number of half a million deaths due to US-EU sanctions on? Because I know the EU uses sanctions, but not (at least explicitly) with the intention of causing wide scale hunger.

Love the rant

I agree, but the bad thing is, a lot of people (especially kids) are addicted to TikTok and other apps. They crave it. So similar to smoking, they know it’s bad but still can’t quit.

Isn’t there plenty of research it’s the opposite of a cognitive amplifier, people get cognitively lazy using ai.

Do right-wing nationalists even listen to a female opinion?

Yes it does. But it depends on your bank’s app as well.

Just 100 meters further this same traffic has to cross with public transport and cars, it’s mayhem there. But hardly any accidents. Just a lot of impatient cyclist. Source: It’s on my daily commute

I’m always horrified if I’m on a browser without a blocker, the web just so much more distracting and intense.

Alright but let’s forget the how for a sec. I think this is not a bad idea to limit social media for kids.

I agree, but it still is culturally significant, because it influenced so many boomers who found that it reinforced with the cultural narrative of the time.

It’s always so mind boggling how (most of) US cities are designed just for cars. And if you are used to that, I get its hard to even imagine the alternative. I like the bike centric cities in Europe, or the amazing public transport in places like Japan or Korea.

Ignoring the self serving bullshit of the US.This seems so nuts, even all the capitalistic incentives point to renewables plus batteries for the future. Besides who in Eastern Europe wants to change from one energy dictator to the next. I can’t see this being a succes in the long run.

True, but replaceable everything. And as sustainable (environmentally and socially) as smartphones come.

I’ve never seen my former prime-minister been referenced as that :') - most certainly not my political colour, but why CIA pig vermin? He is most certainly a competent manager of the status quo, but as a leader spineless and without a vision (for a better world)
Part of the critique on him, on which I totally agree: “he is a manager, keeping the ship afloat, not a leader, setting a clear course”
