Gaming@lemmy.zip•Bloodborne on PC remains a pipe dream, but the newly announced movie at least means taking your mouse and keyboard to the cinema is an optionEnglish
2·9 days agoI’ve been playing through it and it works great. A couple of crashes throughout the game but nothing too crazy.

11·11 days agoSouth Park: The Stick of Truth and its sequel were really funny and the RPG gameplay was a lot more fun than I expected. I’ll also second the recommendation for the Monkey Island series.

3·27 days agoSonic the Hedgehog for the Sega Genesis. Still one of my favorites so definitely worth it.

5·30 days agoI personally don’t have a huge issue with adding the date of birth field (but I understand the concern). However, calling people who are against the change “facists” and part of a “nazi bar” is wild.
Yeah forge is what I use too and it’s definitely a little clunky. PaperWM was decent last time I tried it too (but still a little clunky)

Linux@programming.dev•Linux Mint isn't the answer for Windows refugees anymoreEnglish
71·3 months agoI use Fedora myself but for people new to Linux I still usually recommend Ubuntu. I know it’s likely to stick around because of the company backing and if an application is built for Linux it’s pretty much guaranteed to work on Ubuntu. I’m sure Mint is great too but for a beginner I want the distro to be as well supported as possible.
Once they get the hang of open source and develop a healthy hate of Snap I drag them down into my Fedora cave though.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Which gift from a past Christmas do you still use regularly and enjoy?English
9·4 months agoA Snuggie blanket. Got it from an ex and thought I’d hate it when I got it since it was pretty popular to hate on them at the time. I’ve had it for over a decade now and it’s so perfect for playing video games or using a computer when it’s cold.

13·5 months agoSomething like OVOS would be more of an Alexa replacement, right? I used Mycroft for a while before the company went under but this is the community fork.

I switched to a Pocketbook Inkpad 4 after my old Nook started to have issues and it has been great. I like that you don’t need to create an account to use it.
