I am starting to see individuals as how dependent they are on society.

The good news is that I don’t think we need to worry about a “,World War”. The bad news is that when WW3 inevitably happens, it’ll be the worst waste of lives yet.

Oh, okay. Maybe I got a rosemary tinted view. I’m very nordic these days, but that weather and countryside and beach beauty. I miss it. The people are great too. The culture is great.

Aye. Internet comments are usually opinion vs opinion; worrying about the thoughts of others first, knowing there’s a conflict to “win” rather than ponder.

Online commentary is usually people never making it past the preface before slamming the book. That’s why news article titles are how they are; few people actually open and read the article.

Experiences be experiences, though. I could well be wrong, but the worst that happens is my advice was irrelevant. I’d be silly to not try help.

Ah, it’s fine. I’m celebrating her life. Hell of a person. My father is a finer wine of me, so I know he’s the same. But I know all that death admin will be draining him on top of the massive life loss—in a time when someone needs to be left alone to reflect thale most.

Stepmother died, my father’s a wreck. Basically on standby waiting for him to reply for the last 48hrs so I can tell him I’m headed to the airport. He’s a stubborn bastard that doesn’t know when he needs help, but he eventually cracks. Just gotta give him space and time.

We all thought that the last time he got elected. You put a lot of faith in the capabilities of an American citizen to do something.

Think you just pinpointed a major kink of your depression. Consumed by what others are thinking, even though that’s their problem and not your’s. I’m sure there’s more, but I wouldn’t be consumed about how you appear to others unless you want to live for everyone else’s ideals and the expectations rather than your own.

Disassociating from that and reclaiming my life was a huge step forward in my depression and anxiety. I think that’s one of the most common mental health pitfalls to not realise you’ve fallen into.

I’m not American, but this seems to be the current state over there already. The lack of consequence, even from the populus, is astounding. It’s like everyone is rolling over—complaining as they do it, but rolling over nonetheless.

'tis a lucky country. Probably doesn’t seem like it sometimes, but it really is one of the good places to be. If I were picking a place to set up for the rest of my life, it’s definitely in the top 5. Hope it stays like that in case decid to head on back to my home away from home.

I had some teachers when I was in school that would just hand you a paper, hand you a book, and that was it.

Couldn’t do that if I even tried. I’d be so bored, I’d have to teach just to pass the time quicker lol

I was educated in Australia for quite some time and we kind of formed friendships with our teachers. Always ceremonious thank yous, gifts, and hugs from the class as we’d finish up the year and move onto new teachers.

Will never forget Mr Schwartz, Mr Hornby, and Ms Chamberlain. Teachers that lit up our worlds and had massive respect from all the kids.
