  • Generally just online games where the changes are enough that they don’t play the same way that I enjoyed them. Counterstrike, WoW, Overwatch, and others all did reworks that ruined the gameplay I enjoyed.

Older single player games aren’t as fun because they are clunky compared to newer games, like Neverwinter Nights compared to Baldur’s Gate 3. But I didn’t fall out of love, just don’t enjoy interacting with their controls.

I miss the disruption of social norms like people spreading out in public, remote work being recognized as productive for a large portion of the workforce, the reduced traffic, the reduced pollution, the acknowledgement of being sick deserving time off, and all of the other positive side effects. Not the pandemic itself, but that it showed a ton of social norms like commuting to work and obligatory social events people don’t actually want to go to are not necessary for society to function.

At least a few fragments survived fhe overall reversion to b social norms.

  • I don’t think his acting style would work well as a lead for a tongue in cheek Starship Troopers style movie. As part of a four person ensemble where he isn’t the focus it could work, but to be honest any tall and beefy action movie actor is going to undermine the tongue in cheek themes of Helldivers and is a strong sign that the studio is going to take a star studded cast approach like they did with Borderlands and the result will most likely be the same.

If this was an announcement that included three other actors/actresses who would clearly balance things out, like the cast of Dune did, it wouldn’t be as concerning for me. Announcing a single person implies a leading role and he isn’t the right person for doing that in a Helldivers movie.

  • This is absolutely horrible and I wish the media would stop working things as if genAI have xray specs that can reveal what is underneath clothing.

Someone used AI to remove her clothing in the original photo.

Someone used AI to generate a hypothetical nude based on the original photo. They made fake nudes of her for the purpose of harassment, yes, but they did not magically create actual nudes of her. The punishment should be the same as releasing nudes against her will, but terminology like ‘remove clothes’ makes it sound like genAI can magically create real nudes of someone ir imply there are nudes of that person somewhere for the genAI to use for this purpose.

Part of the reason I think this is an important distinction is because genAI can also put people in situations thry have never been in as well. It is entirely fictional, and shouldn’t be worded as doing something that can occur in real life.

  • I have either blocked or avoided them successfully on the multiple accounts I have had over time while trying out different instances that my recollection is vague and I do not have examples. For me to dislike someone that much they have to be a hypocrite who abuses their power against multiple users other than myself, does not argue in good faith, and responds to people with what they assume they meant instead of what was said. Unruffled is right there too, baiting people into responding and then banning people for ‘not letting things go’ because they need to get the last word in.

db0 seems to comes across to me as misguided, Unruffled and Draconic_NEO come across as malicious and petty.
