The comments I saw were fairly serious directed attacks towards another user, even if they were in the heat of the moment.
There was enough to understand why the user deleted their account in the moment, I had to consider permaban before settling with a tempban on just this occasion.
think you might be underselling it. I think a fairer assessment is some people got attacked.

same, I don’t really see there was any bad comments

if people aren’t angry and motivated in this world then that’s a problem
we just have to be civil working together to try to sort if out and see what we can do
