I hate the Hitlerite wormhole these guys send me down.

His name is either a self deprecating or racist invocation of the stereotype about “Jews having big noses” (schnoz=nose, stein=Stereotypical Jewish last name)

Then I have to go sigh… well, go on. Tell me what happened in 1657…

First result: “Cromwell Grants Rights to English Jews”

Oh. Ok. Well, that actually sounds positive. Although if you’re an antisemite that would be the exact opposite of positive.

I could probably keep digging and find if online Nazis have a specific gripe with Cromwell because of this event. But I think I’ll pass.

Based on his statement that living in the 19(?)50s would be great, I will go ahead and take a big stab in the dark and assume he isn’t Jewish. Because although the way Jews were treated was beginning to improve in the US (another thing I don’t know) and in Europe, it was still a pretty bad time to be Jewish and remained so until, I dunno, into the 1960s and 1970s.

I’m just gonna conclude “Nazi moron” and move on to save my braincells further

Since you already covered the Nazi connection, I’m gonna tag team to take down the ‘‘Hispanic’’ bullshit.

The concept of ‘‘Hispanic’’ has always bothered me because it seeks to uniform the ‘‘formless hordes’’ from the Latinamerican periphery and make them digestible for gringos. It is a ‘‘relatively civilized, relatively European’’ term to differentiate the house slave that works in the garden, from the jungle slave that works in the plantation. The word evokes a direct link to Spain, and is hence, colonially charged, on top of chauvinist, because it means to umbilically connect us to Europe and separate us from our Afrodescendant and Native American roots, in this manner, dissociating us from our natural allies, including all oppressed and marginalized communities, like Asians and West Asians, as well. The term aims to replicate the stratification of white supremacy by placing the ‘‘Hispanic’’ closer to the WASP’s nest by virtue of their ‘‘proximity’’ to Europe. All this is of course, bullshit, for no matter how ‘‘white’’ passing you look, the moment you open your mouth or they see your name, you’re not ‘‘white’’.

When we talk about ourselves down here, we usually say ‘‘Latinamerican’’, and even that term still has some ties to western ‘‘civilization’’. But in contrast to ‘‘Hispanic’’, it’s more of a synthesis. We do not deny that some of our languages come from Europe, that we are mostly Catholics and shit, but we’re not part of the ‘‘international community’’ or ‘‘western values’’. It is a statement of fact that no matter how hard we try to integrate into the ‘‘West’’, we will never be seen as equals. This is something I wish all my compatriots of ‘‘La Patria Grande’’ understood.
