      It literally did, minus your contemporary idiom:

      he shall take Care that the Laws be faithfully executed,

      (It’s called the “take care clause” and is part of Article II, Section 3, in case anybody wants to look it up.)

      Not that it matters anymore, after Trump v. United States.
