I know the Trump admin’s been gutting some federal agencies here and there, but isn’t his admin full of natsec ghouls like that defense secretary? The dude is openly working with tech/surveillance oligarchs and neolibs still cling to the delusion that the bourgeoise does not control the state.

Also, they are complaining that Lockheed Martin hasn’t tried to shoot Trump for his shenanigans but he literally had 2 assassination attempts on him in recent months (over Ukraine lmao). Is history really something that only “tankies” are capable of remembering?

    If Ukraine is ended, there will be something to replace it

    Not to mention, capital flows across the world. As the US empire continues to wind down, capitalists will be more than happy to invest anywhere they can make money. Capital fled Europe to the US before. It stands to reason it will (or already is/has) flee to Asian in whatever form.

    The CIA stuff only holds up insofar as the executive or those in charge are actively defying the wishes of capital(ists) not so much whatever random warhawks on Fox and MSNBC are hyping up this week, month or year. If Trump sat down with the biggest capitalists (and he has the richest assclown in the world as his sort of “shadow president” currently- so, yes, he has sat down with them plenty) and they said “you can nix Ukraine. We have plans in…” where ever. Then that’s what’s happening. Or maybe Trump is bucking their wishes- for the moment. But they know they can rope him into another conflict so they don’t care. Let the losing narrative die and move on to something fresh.

    There’s honestly too many unknowns for anyone not at his cabinet meetings or in his bed at night watching his little fingers text back and forth to “know” the full situation. If the libs truly believe that the president of the US isn’t ultimately bound by the wishes of the ultra wealthy capitalists, well, I want to try some of the crack they’re on.
