When I play Stacked, I initially try to work through them all mentally and then submit them from 1 to 5, like below. You didn’t get any additional recognition or anything, and this is pretty much the only game I even try to be extra with.

So what about y’all… What extra things do you do to make the games more enjoyable, whether it’s to make it harder, something quirky, something random, etc?

I don’t play Strands anymore, but when I did, I always tried to find the gold word first.

I’ve never played Strands, but I just checked it out and it seems like a cool game. I can definitely see myself imposing the same restriction on myself.

With Strands I refuse to use any hints. The first word often gives away the theme and the shapes of any neighbouring words, so the puzzle is really easy after that.

Same, no hints in addition to gold first. So basically my results always looked the same and it seemed pointless to share them.

I don’t like to use clues in Strands unless I’m really stuck, but I don’t go for the spangram first. I actually find Strands to be quite relaxing. It occupies my mind without stressing the neurons too much.
