Be sure to note what reasons are shown for removal. Then check other instances and the communities issuing the removal/ban.

There are civility rules in most instances that where we don’t have to agree with what’s said, at least be civil about it. And what I find is that on .world, most removals are because actual rules are violated. Those having their content removed will cry that it’s bias, without even contest they violated the instance or community rules.

Whereas if you look at .ml, the admins override the mods are remove contend that clearly doesn’t violate any rules at all.

This is not me complaining ing because I have been one of the people removed/banned as I don’t contribute content to that place. Therefore there is no personal bias from me.

Now. Look at all the people whining about .world and check the modlogs of their content.

Therein is where you’ll find the point I’m making here.

I haven’t been on lemmy for all that long, but this thread is the first I’ve ever seen anyone complain about moderation.

You’ll see it the more time you spend here. There’s entire communities devoted to abusive moderation.

It’ll happen when enough people are gathered in one spot.

The point is, don’t accept face value what you’re told by anyone here. There are comment histories and modlogs that will prove or disprove much of what tire seeing on the topic.
