How much for a passport in the US? What’s the expiry time?

Are there any goverment workers left, that can issue them?

      Bout $80 and a decade

ETA: its also a massive pain in the ass that most people don’t do at best. And some groups are having a harder and harder time getting one.

If a passport is accessible to you, get one, they’re great and practical. But in the US voter ID is a voter suppression tactic. Personally I would much prefer a universal “citizen/permanent resident ID” that’s free, easily obtained, and can serve as a motor vehicle license and short form passport, but we aren’t there, that ain’t happening, and I don’t trust the current administration to do it without forcing minority status on it and forcing minorities to carry it everywhere
