minus-square@[email protected]linkfedilink1•edit-28 days agoYou can reduce literally any film to one sentence that makes it sound stupid. “Citizen Kane is stupid, its a story about a rich guy who really liked his sled.” Even still… oversimplification aside, I don’t see anything inherently stupid about “a love story about poisoning”

My wife and son love that movie, and want to watch it about once a year. I despise it. Boring, and really, really stupid.
I could understand someone finding it boring, but what was really really stupid about it?
A love story about poisoning?
You can reduce literally any film to one sentence that makes it sound stupid.
