The letter seems to be fitting into a pattern of pro-Israel organizations, such as Canary Mission and Betar, targeting critics of Israel’s military actions, as well as supporters of Palestinian self-determination. Betar says it has provided lists of noncitizen protesters to Immigration and Customs Enforcement, the Department of Homeland Security, and other government agencies, recommending deportation.

    Canary Mission and Betar should be investigated as (likely unregistered) foreign agents of Israel and be criminally charged as such. But of course that won’t happen.

        Imagine if the US told France to arrest and deport a legal French citizen because they criticized the Iraq War.

        The fact that this sort of influence mongering is normal is fucking crazy. We aren’t in charge of our own national interest because we’re led by a bunch of faithless mercenaries.
