No, its okay. Just cut the metal if it doesn’t fit. When you reassemble I suggest using super glue. It has worked like a charm for me in the past
I never like the glue line though.
A true super glue master never leaves lines behind
Or my solution. Hide it in an old CompTIA book. Big enough, no loss and DOGE proves it’s safe
