I think bullpups have a lot going for them and their disadvantages don’t matter too much in an infantry context.
The FAMAS died because St. Etienne Arsenal died. The L85 is about to die because Enfield died. The Tavor is dying because Israel gets free M4’s from the US.
It all seems to have to do with economics rather than the performance of the AR or lack thereof of a bullpup.
Adopting an AR because it’s the lightest, most ergonomic, and most mature fighting rifle in the world. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
