minus-square@[email protected]linkfedilink1•edit-21 day agoi feel like it’s a euphemism intended to make the transaction feel less costly for the person giving the same way it’s easier to say “they’re gone” than “they’re dead” when you’re grieving, even though they mean the same thing given the context.
