My first two battles in the event, with Sceptile and sleep Altaria, ended in losses.
Once I switched to Hydreigon though, I can’t stop winning. (I stopped once I got the final emblem.)

The updates to the original deck are minor: switching Sabrina and one copy of Lucky Ice Pop out for Enhanced Blade Absol and Rocky Helmet.
Replacing Sabrina with Enhanced Blade Absol is nothing new. 50 damage (60 with Deceptive Needle) for only 1 energy is very powerful.
My contribution is the replacement of one Lucky Ice Pop with Rocky Helmet.
In my experience, with this deck, you’d want to drop all your Pokemon tool down ASAP for greater Copycat value (or to deny your opponent’s Copycat). Unfortunately, there were times where I run out of Deceptive Needle to place on Enhanced Blade Absol, which meant it became dead weight.
Having one more Pokemon tool helped, and Rocky Helmet was what Hydreigon was originally running before Deceptive Needle came along. However, the inclusion of one more card means having to cut something else from the deck.
Another things I noticed about the original deck was that two Lucky Ice Pops were more of a hindrance than help. In the early game, having both copies of Lucky Ice Pop in hand usually results in bricking, since you can’t use them while your pokemons’ HPs are full. In the late game, the extra healing is not very effective in the current meta when so many pokemons - mainly Lucario and Vespiquen - can easily one-shot your Hydreigon anyway.
Hence the change of one Lucky Ice Pop to one Rocky Helmet. (In fact, perhaps the second Lucky Ice Pop can be replaced too… with Sabrina, maybe?)
Once I’ve made this change, I started winning more games with Hydreigon, and the results speak for itself in this Emblem Event.
If you just want to win a ton and get the emblems quickly, consider using this deck.
Otherwise, which deck are you bringing to the Emblem Event?
