Even in a authoritarian regime any vote against the leader is a protest vote. So vote

Democrat, blank or maybe even a socialist.

Stay safe americans and good luck

If your state is counting ballots in a way you do not understand, it’s not democracy but faith it is accurate. Many smart writers over the last two centuries have eloquently explained how faith has no place in a democracy

I live somewhere with 2 Republicans on the ballot for one seat with no write in line.

I could have not voted at all on that item, but that wouldn’t have helped anybody but the worst of the two candidates.

I poured through more reviews and candidate statements from these two trashy people than any other candidate I voted for, just to find the one that was the least evil.

I still hate them both, but I voted for one to try and stem the bleeding because that’s how our Democracy works.

There is someone or some proposal on your ballot worth voting for, or at the very least worth voting against, even if you don’t like either of the candidates at the top. Vote for the better option for County Registrar of Deeds. Vote in favor of the amendment that protects collective bargaining rights, or that increases local school funding.

Every vote matters, and even moreso on the individual basis for the down-ballot races in which fewer people are voting.
