Nearly one year after the provincial government forced the removal of roadside speed cameras, Ottawa’s police chief says traffic enforcement has been extra challenging.

Chief Eric Stubbs told the Ottawa Police Service Board on Monday that there are more than 400 school zones and intersections officers would have to monitor to replace the reach of speed cameras.

We do we need some bloated guy with a gun to hand out speeding tickets?

Change the law to allow deputies like parking enforcement to write speeding tickets. They will pay for themselves.

This is you’re reminder that the Ottawa police was told by the RCMP that the Truck Convoy was bound to their city. They choose to ignore it.

They are fairly incompetent with or without speed cameras

Cops always side with right winger protests. OPP visibly sided with the truckers as well as the Ottawa cops, RCMP would as well had they been forced into the issue.

      It’s ACAB for a reason.

They all do. It’s class warfare FFS it’s unreasonable to think they don’t act in unison while pushing social issues to distract us.

Yes, and yes. But I somehow don’t think OPS waits for budget season to do that.
