TBH, you all come across as incredibly pretentious and ingenuine by pretending not to even know who she is. You’ve certainly heard her name on social media. She’s frequently the subject of posts on even Lemmy, so if you’re on any other social media you DEFINITELY have heard of her, but even here on this island you’ve encountered subject matter about her.
She’s also done some advertisements for pants and soap that come across as MAGA dog whistles, and she has done nothing to contradict being a racist, so that’s why people are mad at her.
I’m not really in-tune with American culture on the whole, and forming identities around people is hard for me as a double stroke victim. I’m also not on social media, and don’t really pay attention too hard.
I also still haven’t looked up who she is, cause I just don’t care that much.
