We’re building it for everyone, even those who may not care about federation!
The whole platform and discovery algorithm will be open source, and fingers crossed, will be funded by a grant by NLnet (if our application gets approved)
But more importantly, I’m eager to implement better safety and moderation tools to empower users and admins to create more safe, healthy and sustainable communities.
We can do this better, without influencers 😎

TikTok without influencers? How is that even possible? The whole concept revolves around there not being any meaningful social interactions and everything you see being picked by an algorithm. And when there’s a recommendation algorithm, there are influencers.
@[email protected] Eh, not sure we should promote endless scrolling and short videos any more than that. But hey, it might bring more interesting content if there’s not an incentive to please the algorithm gods or to farm dopamine at any costs.
