Seriously, I for the life of me do not understand why so many countries have a hardon for Israel…it baffles me.

Israel has a pretty decent espionage agency.

Not hard to dig up dirt on politicians.

A lot of it is residual guilt about not doing more to prevent the Holocaust.

Israel is a major tech hub, super advanced military power, and western aligned ally in the middle east.

They get nothing from supporting Palestine. Plus the west is strongly anti-iran, which hamad is closely affiliated with.

Those are the media talking points, so def not reality.

In reality, western powers have a hard on for regional destabilization. They do the same thing in Latin America, Africa, SE Asia, anywhere really.

It happened to be Israel by consequence of history, but the ME “ally” could have just as easily been another nation. Note that no one is really anyone’s ally in this case, everyone is just out for themselves.

        That’s realpolitiks in a nutshell.

That said, I think persecuted minorities need their own states, and I think a lot of people are using this Gaza conflict to air out their antisemitism and racial hatred of Jews. Anti-genocide people should be aware of such tactics.
