People in my study year are legit 17 and I feel like an ancient person sometimes. Their mentality is shit!!!1! (It is though).
Also, the amount of right wing bullshit they spew already is worrying.
Do they have a job? I feel like the left-wing mentality can’t really take hold until one becomes object of exploitation.
That might be it. Though this is The Netherlands so racism in white men is mostly the default setting sadly. Especially here in the south.

I was a dumb centrist at that age mostly. Everyone has to learn, of course. But I do feel like things shifted from a more centrist approach to having racism normalized. I can’t imagine hearing the shit I hear now in school back when I was their age.
