My aunt’s birthday is coming up. She has decided “we” should go somewhere for HER birthday, every year for the past 5+ years and I’m getting tired of it. She doesn’t work. She is collecting disability for an injury SHE caused, and is too afraid that if she works, she will lose her disability. She used to say “thank you” when I took her out to eat or paid her way, but now she seems to expect it and I’m sick of it. She has a brothers and sisters and has mooched off of them in the past. I guess it’s my family’s turn. She is not grateful for anything and “vents” when she doesn’t get her way. I’m sick of hearing about it.

Sorry for the rant, but I really am tired of paying her way. WIBTA to tell her if she can’t pay her way, she needs to figure it out?

Edit: I’ve already made travel arrangements and am putting everything on my credit card. My birthday is next month, so why not? She is already “talking” about going back to this city with niece and nephew which would be completely dangerous, as this city has a high crime rate. She lives in a fantasy world.
