I’m planning to expand the nodes of my Raspberry Pi Kubernetes cluster to something more powerful yet affordable to pay in terms of power consumption. The idea is to use the new nodes to do video transcoding and run LLMs via Ollama.

The to-go option seemed to be MS-01 with 96GB of RAM and a Proxmox installed to provision VMs. The interesting part of this unit is the ability to add a GPU.

However, today AI X1 Pro has been released: https://minisforumpc.eu/en/products/ai-x1-pro-mini-pc?variant=51875206496622 The AI X1 Pro one appears to perform better for AI workloads and consume significantly less (45w): https://www.cpu-monkey.com/en/compare_cpu-amd_ryzen_ai_9_hx_370-vs-intel_core_i9_13900h

Any thoughts?
