Bartell continues to maintain that he does not regret voting for Trump.

- “overstayed her work-study visa” -> Break the rules and it’s likely there will be consequences. The reason why does not matter. ( although the case handling officer can show sympathy if they seem the reason valid )
- I’m no Trump fan, but he was clear on his plans, yet he still voted for trump

Getting to and staying in the country shouldn’t be so hard. To me, that seems like the fundamental issue, and so many breaking the law was a workaround to a shitty system.
It’s so frustrating that Camila doesn’t deserve any of this, but the person saying they wouldn’t change their decision and does deserve to see consequences will refuse to actually feel them.

The detentions are a for-profit endeavor, the people are being treated inhumanely, and this is all some Nazi-level shit. I want all the allies that can be won away from the neofascists. - He proudly voted for Trump, a man known to value women only as a commodity. Why would he worry about this wife when he can get a new one at equal or better value?
