Cost him the job in the end and LaRoche was thrown out at the same time. Iisalo is a rising head coaching talent in basketball world. His clubs (Bonn and Paris) in Europe won cups and Tuomas won coach of the year awards. Paris continued playing with his style in their debut Euroleague season and have been doing well. Tuomas is a good players coach and has awesome tactics knowledge. Only thing that is a question mark is NBA/Memphis ready for that ”modern European style” or will Tuomas adapt his style to fit NBA. Heavy player rotation and fast offense was already Iisalo’s mark in this year’s Grizzlies.
