Oh I’m stuck on gold stake on that one, have been for a while. That would explain it, for the first few decks I never even really looked at the deck attributes, didn’t really matter for most basic strategies.

Black nearly made me quit. Sometimes I think about it and I get mad that I didn’t, even though I enjoy it again, free from it’s grasp, out of principle. Like what does it say about me that I let local thunk punk me like that.

The problem is the -1 Discard. I would trade Blue Stake for Perishable or Rental stickers. Hell, even the Red Stake no-money on small blinds punishment is more severe than people think. Makes me want to skip small blinds just to get some reward while I’m building up money.

The balance for the stakes is out of whack, and I’m glad Localthunk is changing some of that around.

Also, Erratic Deck is actually pretty fun to play. You can wind up with pretty wacky five-of-a-kind or flush potential builds with it.
