Last time we had fascists everywhere, about 55 million people got killed. Maybe we should kick out the fascists quicker this time.

I would like to add that we should also kick out capitalism and representative democracy out of the way because fascism is a byproduct of both of them.

Capitalism, when in crises uses fascists to restore its status quo and this is how they get elected in parliaments. We can now tell with certainty, that all the worldwide measures/reforms that took place after WW2 were not effective. If they had been, fascists would not be on the rise everywhere.

There are plenty of alternative systems of organising societies for the benefit of the people, they are just not promoted by the media, this is why we don’t hear about them as solution. I often use the example of kings to illustrate my point. During their era, everybody thought that this system could never change, but it did. So we can do this change as well. Actually we have to.

For me, many variation of direct democracy could be great.

As briefly as I can: instead of voting every few years for someone to represent the interests of your area in a national parliament, we would vote on a local level for our local maters, more often. When I say matters imagine the questions asked to be more like the ones at referendums.

Jesus, it seems that nowadays wherever I go I find either reactionaries or radicals pushing their insane takes no matter the relevance. I wish moderates would comment more.

I understand that you see things differently, so I would like to ask you a couple of things to get your point of view.

For you why did fascism emerge in the first place and why did it re-emerge nowadays.

For you why did fascism emerge in the first place

That’s a broad question that has different answers depending on the time and place. There’s no single answer to this.

            why did it re-emerge nowadays.

Again, it’s a broad question with different answers. However, I can definetly say that social media and selection bias play a role in pushing the average person to extreme views such as yours. Which is why I’d like to remind people to take a break and cool down every once in a while.

I wanted to have a conversation with you, this is why I asked your opinion specifically. I believe it’s important for people with different point of views to be able to talk about them. For me, it’s a pity that you don’t want to have one but at least I tried.

People only react and care about doing anything after the fact, after millions die, or horrors beyond comprehsion are created. It has always been like this. It won’t change. Many people are ok with the fascists and want them.

It doesn’t matter how many years we spend warning people, trying to educate, etc, nothing works.

The price of democracy is eternal vigilance. Nobody is willing to pay that price or work for it.

Humans are morally evil in their nature. I stopped believing in people long ago.

Unfortunately I’ve come to similar conclusions. It’s incredible how you can point out extremely obvious fascist behaviors in politicians yet “ordinary” people respond by asking something like “then where are the convention camps”?

They will literally fucking wait around until people are being mass murdered before they call an extremist an extremist. Centrists were complicit with the Nazis and they will be again.

It might be end of western civilization if fascists are allowed to get power to same extent. Back then they didnt have nukes, bioweapons and everything else we have now . Likely there are even worse classified things being developed too. They are also heartless enough to use them.

There’s always that one person who just wants to ruin it for everyone else. Reminds me of some people I knew back in high-school, that kind of person who, when the entire class convenes to skip classes together, insists on staying behind to lick some teacher boots.

First thing which popped into my mind. That kind of experience taught me that sometimes solidarity is more important than anything else.

Oh Meloni is very much in solidarity, with the fascist. And I don’t know what kind of teachers you had when your first thought is to compare them with Trump.

I don’t think you really mean it like this but maybe next time consider the context when doing comparisons.

Let me put it this way: nobody skipped classes when the teachers knew how to actually explain and teach and didn’t just shovel decontextualised information down our gullets for us to rote and then regurgitate on paper. Yes, we’ve had plenty of Trumps…

… You think that people who actually want to learn new things are the fascists? I’d ask you if you are dumb but you already answered that with your class skipping

You think that people who actually want to learn new things are the fascists?

He didn’t say that. He just gave an example (a rather poor one given the context) of people lacking solidarity.

I’d ask you if you are dumb but you already answered that with your class skipping

Insulting people like this won’t get you anything.

Not everybody sees teachers like evil oppressors jfc

Again, he never said this. Forgive me for saying this, but it seems you’re very angry about something and you just want to start an argument. Maybe take a break from the internet for a day?

not the teachers fault, but middle schoolers aren’t the most cooperative demographic for standardised education, but maybe (?) it’s the most important time for culture building to have standardised education

That person is a fascist quite often for some reason. (The reason is that their world view is build on hatred and lies)
