It has always been burning. But why are you trying to tell me how to react to it? That’s my personal decision. If I wanted to use Lemmy for news I’d join news communities… I used Reddit for cat videos and nieche communities. I want to use Lemmy like this too. But some people just push politics in every community imaginable.
Its the technology sub, and there’s AI being deployed to infiltrate all the institutions that contain everyone’s most sensitive data. The company responsible is a tech company. That’s why it’s in the technology sub. I agree that it’s annoying to have this news blasted at me every day but I can’t just make it go away until everyone is just as sick of it and stands up to stop it.
If this were the cat memes community and someone posted this article I might forgive your attitude but, like, nobody asked? There’s three dots on the post with which you can block the community if you don’t want to be aware of technofeudalism usurping more and more of your personal life.
Scroll your subscribed feed and you won’t have this problem. I just don’t think that’s a effective way to deal with the actual problem of it being important and thus pervasive.
I would say that it isn’t all politics but Lemmy has kinda gone off the deep end. I’ve been spending way more time on Reddit.
Its not that I don’t mind politics. I think it is important to keep everyone informed about Trump but I don’t need more people and content telling me how the US is falling apart. I need something else mixed in. In really Trump is pretty heavily tied to tech news but it would be nice to see an article about something less dystopian.

Before I would have just probably ignored a comment like theirs and just taken whatever you had said at face value.
Now I got curious enough though to have actually looked at your comment history quickly, and while I wouldn’t say you’re at Nazi levels of right wing, you’re definitely getting adjacent to them. Especially what you say in German, which doesn’t help.
You might call me politically interested with capitalistic views or whatever. But “Nazi” is completely unjustified and only coming from dipshits that have nothing more qualified to respond.
Also I’m entitled to my own opinion. I’m not insulting anyone with that. I’m not discriminating anyone. I’m not spreading hate-speech. I’m don’t differentiate between cultures, ethnics or locale. If you look at all of my comments and posts you’ll see that. I’ve never been banned on any community ever too. But some dipshits call me Nazi and don’t even leave it at that: they follow me all around Lemmy and bring it up regularly every time my comment is somewhat remotely related to something Nazis would think on February 30th (like capitalism or economy-relatef stuff). He has yet to find evidence of me being a nazi. When Musk did his Nazi salute I was not sure whether he did this on purpose. I did not know about the other antisimetic stuff he said on Twitter at the time but learned about it then. Since then this guy is doxing me all over Lemmy and calling me a Nazi for no reason whatsoever. This thread and no other thread of mine shows no evidence of that but apparently he has some kind of grudge against me for what I said back then. I’m starting to think he’s some kind of Russian troll.
