My cousin is constantly in jail for stealing things - every time he gets out he’ll steal some dumb thing out of habit within a month and get sent back. When I was a kid I’d heard the word kleptomaniac and wanted to use it to describe my cousin, but I’d also heard the word nymphomaniac and had gotten the two confused, so for a span of about 2 years I was going around telling a bunch of people that my cousin is in jail for being a nymphomaniac.
