Hi Boost gang,
The first version of Boost for Lemmy is almost ready. If you want to test the app for bugs and give feedback before the app is published, follow this link https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.rubenmayayo.lemmy to enable an early access option on the Boost for Lemmy Play Store listing.
Thanks for your patience!
🎉🚀
Now that’s a seamless switch between platforms!
Ad-free already purchased!
One feature that’d be nice to have is the ability to add other instances as guest accounts.
Quick question. I thought Reddit’s API price debacle (the entire reason I’m here instead) forced Boost for Reddit to shut down, or at the very least charge a high price. I’m surprised to see it still working. What exactly is going on?
Custom API keys
So what’s the effect of this?
API keys is what identifies the client/application. So basically, Reddit sees it as me using a personal custom app or script, and it’s therefore not blocked.
They didn’t shut down the API, they just made it prohibitively expensive to use. For most people, that falls into the free tier.

I think that was a reddit specific function.
Babe wake up, Boost for Lemmy just dropped

Hi, missed you a lot since Reddit’s demise.
Can we do this without having a google account?
Thanks
It’s very smooth. I’ve not found lemmy apps this smooth other than Sync. So, I can say, we have a worthy contender.
first comment from boost for me! thanks for the great work <3
Hello :) I love it so much! Haven’t realised how much I missed this interface!
Ist there any chance to integrate mod-tools
Oh thank God, I can finally get rid of Sync. 🍻
My thought exactly! It was ok while it lasted, but finally, I’m where I want to be! Thank the Lord.

Thank you for developing this app! Being able to use Boost again has felt like being right at home. Your UI/UX design is just amazing, and I’ve sorely missed it since Reddit’s whole thing happened.
Thanks (can’t wait to launch the rocket ;))
The only thing I’d point out is that downvotes are disabled on my instance so it would be nice to hide the downvotes in the app but that’s a minor nitpick. Also I don’t think it prompted me to put in my 2FA code when I logged on.
This is amazing, thank you! I’ll be buying ad free the moment I finish this post.
For anyone unable to login due to 2FA: a workaround for now is to login elsewhere, disable 2FA, login to Boost, then re-enable 2FA. Bit of a pain because you get a new token but as long as you don’t log out of Boost it appears to stick.

I’ve never used Boost before and it’s auto downloaded today. I’m so happy to try it. Looks great so far.
Just autodownloaded and so glad to be back to a familiar interface
