Context: In the 1970s, some Australian surfers came to Hawaii and won a lot of contests then started talking mad shit about Hawaiian surfing culture. Hawaiian surfers obviously got pissed about this leading to cultural and physical clashes with the Australians.

The matter was eventually resolved with the intervention of legendary Hawaiian surfer Eddie Aikau
