SOCHI, June 26 - RIA Real Estate. The number of North Korean citizens at Russian construction sites will more than triple by the end of the year and reach 50 thousand people, said Pavel Belenets, assistant to the chairman of the board of directors of the Eskadra development group, at the Dvizhenie real estate forum.

“Today, there are about 15,000 North Korean workers in Russia. Their number will increase to about 50,000 by the end of the year. And there are currently about 153,000 applications for workers from North Korea,” he said.

Belenets described North Korean workers as the most efficient, noting that they work 12-16 hours a day and have only one day off. “From my experience that we have gained in the process of working with different migrants, they are the best,” he noted, adding that builders from North Korea are mainly engaged in monolithic and facade work, as well as interior finishing.
