I still have old boost on my phone and the icon looks identical. If i set a custom icon i will get a duplicate. Please modify the stock icon slightly. Maybe set one of the custom ones as a default

I had the same thing pop up. But I just deleted the old reddit boost app
It still works great: all you have to do is to create a dummy community on Reddit and set it private.
I agree with you, having a new but similar icon would be nice.
