I’ve had on my to-do list for more than a year now a picture of a Tab Complete vending machine, with two penguins stood before it, one on top of the other, the upper one stuffing coins into the slot, and the bottom one removing the bottles from the trough, uncapping them, and passing them to a third penguin, who drinks the contents and passes the empty bottles to the girl, who holds them steady beneath a funnel, while the fish pours in the gasoline and corks them with a rag, and then a fourth penguin lights them and fires them with a slingshot out the window into an advancing computer horde.

I support this for multiple reasons, of course, but flags also simply destroyed these canvas events. The only fun one was the first one with it’s wild tribalism and weaved in artworks. Blue corner vs Void vs Green Lattice was just more fun.

There are still artworks there, but of course, the most pronounced thing is a German flag - same as every year.

You might want to have another look, maybe on reddit its still like that but i feel like the fediverse is trying to address it and tone it down.

Biggest flags right now are queer.

While they have added a rainbow flag, which does improve the situation, the biggest thing still is a German flag at its core. They even started one of these obnoxious long flags, too.

I support the pride flags. Their message is important. For the sake of the event, the canvas is still dominated by flags.

I like that people put flags on there. It’s not tribalism IMO, it’s just there to remind us people are from all around the world.

Remade the “cum” because it was instructed by the computer. Didn’t draw a beige computer because I didn’t have the time.

Technically this is a beige computer (monitor) but art colabs without communicating is hard so we ended on fuck art and gave it a tumor.

Or maybe people can do whatever they want on the canvas? “Oh no please stop having fun the way you want to! Start having fun the way I decided for you instead!”

People can draw ugly stuff or flags or game related things or just add random pixels if it pleases them.

I despise this kind of dynamic that kock block peoples’ enjoyment just because they think they have the moral high grounds.

Participative canvases do not have to include pixel art nor flags they can just be what anyone makes it to be.

Draw your own art without flags on paint.
