The logic is simple: The United States wants transgender people to go away and would encourage them to emigrate. Canada wants to end the tariff wars, and its ability to take transgender people off the hands of the U.S. government may be a potential bargaining chip. Transgender people can read the writing on the wall: If they don’t flee, something very, very bad is likely to happen to them if the GOP holds onto power.
There is a historical precedent to this concept. During the early years of the Third Reich, the Nazi government actively encouraged to Jews to emigrate. It worked with Jewish organizations to liquidate Jewish assets and transfer the proceeds to them in Palestine as part of the Haavara Agreement. Similarly, in the aftermath of Kristallnacht, when 30,000 Jewish men were imprisoned, they were released on the condition of signing an agreement to emigrate and surrender their property (effectively guaranteeing they would never return).
You have made a fundamental error. The facists don’t want trans people gone.
If there are no more trans people they will have to spend a bunch of time and money whipping up a fervour about a new boogeyperson.
What they want is an already marginalised community with little power to fight back so they can flood the news with dramatic cat-litter-box-in-schools headlines to make them seem like the only reasonable choice and suppress all the actual shit they are doing.
Everyone else is a liar. Everyone else is scum. Everyone else wants to take the nice things you have. You should be afraid. We are your salvation. Anything we do to our opponents is justified by the above.

That doesn’t mean they won’t keep killing them, it means they value the utility of trans people as targets for violence.
They want to keep killing trans people but yes they will switch to gay people or whatever if they have to, you aren’t wrong in your point but I think you are misunderstanding how genuine their desire to kill trans people is outside of any logic.
