To all the left-wing reformists out there: as long as we keep capitalism, this will always persist, the profit motive ensures this sort of behaviour is inevitable no matter how well you regulate it.
We used to break up large corporations, and the highest tax brackets were far far higher, and yet: we’re here because the profit motive ensures regulatory capture in incentivised.
Despite this case. We have regulatory capture. None of these companies will face meaningful consequences for their anti-competitive behaviour.
